Another Great Video on How to Shave Using a Safety Razor
Here is another great video! It is a bit long, but goes into greater details. From Executive Shaving.
A REVIEW OF MY FAVORITE WET SHAVING YOUTUBE CHANNELS.
Ken is very entertaining. He has a huge shave den and has been a wet shaver for many years, He is very established and as of this date has over 12,000 subscribers. Both knowledgeable and engaging.
Mark’s enthusiasm is infectious. His standard line is ” 30 degrees, a light touch, let the razor do all the work, gentleman…” is sort of his hallmark but I feel is perhaps a summary in a single sentence of how to best succeed with a safety razor. Mark is a cartoonist by trade, I enjoy his cartooning found at www.georgetoons.com.
Gary is an amazing reviewer who has lots of heart and puts his passion into every review. He is easy going, very honest about the products he reviews, and does the best live shaves on YouTube.
HERE ARE SOME OF OUR FAVORITE COMPETITORS
Fendrihan – Is a higher end store that offers more than just shaving stuff, although their collection od razors and shave care is wonderful, they have many other items such as pens, briefcases, leather goods, etc.
Try A Blade – Every traditional shave enthusiast should visit Try A Blade. With about 100 blades to choose from, you can try just about any DE blade that is made! Pricing is fair, so is shipping.
Phoenix Artisan Acoutrements – They are a very creative company and frankly shopping on the site is super fun. They make a lot of their own gear, which is unique to say the least. Their shave care is also excellent.
Razor Emporium – Want a vintage razor such as Gillette, Schick, or Gem? Then Razor Emporium is your kind of place! Their knowledge is unparalleled, and their inventory is huge. There are also tons of nostalgic and useful resources. If you want to get a great shaving education, Matt and the team at Razor Emporium can’t be beat.
Maggards – Has a large inventory of just about everything you could imagine. Their own branded razors are renowned for value and quality. They have just about any brand razor, or shave care product you can think of! (Say except ours…. I will have to do something about that!)
West Coast Shaving – I must say is just a great place to buy a razor, but even better for shave care. Their prices are reasonable. Their customer service is great. They also ship fast.
Wet Shaving Products – are best known for their excellent shave care, which is all made inhouse. But one of my favorite razors comes from this company, and they only sell that one razor. The El Grande has a nice fat juicy handle and an Edwin Jagger style head. Gentle but not mild. Very efficient. Beautifully manufactured. My choice of best beginner razor under $20.00.
